I have the module installed and when you click on the navigational link to pull up the Contact form, there are two messages that display the same information as follows:

Uninitialized string offset: 0 in contact_plus_form_contact_site_form_alter() (line 111 of Intranet\sites\all\modules\ContactPlus\contact_plus.module

I pulled up the contact_plus_module and looked at line 111 but I am unsure how to change this line to remove the error. This is what line 111 displays:

$text_global = check_markup($text_array['value'], $text_array['format'], '', TRUE);

I did try and change the value of "TRUE" to "FALSE" and when I do this, I will receive the same error referenced above twice and under that listed twice is this message: Unable to send e-mail. Contact the site administrator if the problem persists.

I am in the process of trying to get the email to work on the site and just installed MimeMail to see if I can get the mail to send but still having issues with the mail actually sending out and since this is a contact module, I didn't know where else to look for my Drupal 7 site.

I have checked my log files and found two repeating errors and will put those here just in case it is something else that needs to be changed to correct the error from the Contact Plus module.

Addendum: I have fixed the email issue and can now send email from the site. The contact form still displays the same error twice when I just click the link to pull up the contact form. I can then fill it out and it will now show me the same error message twice after submission but the other two messages stating that it couldn't send mail are now gone and the contact form sends the information to my email but also still displays the error below:

Notice: Uninitialized string offset: 0 in contact_plus_form_contact_site_form_alter() (line 111

I think your initial post indicates that you had two problems; one with mail delivery, and one potential one with this module (which I have yet to diagnose).

Can you just disable the contact plus module and confirm that your workflow is error-free without contact plus enabled? ie, you can send mail as normal without any issues?

Not sure at all on this. One wonders if you are developing in a Windows environment, which further raises the questions, what version of PHP are you running, and can you recreate this error in a LAMP environment?

Just FYI for anyone else who ran across this, it is caused when "Global introduction text " for the contact plus module is left blank.

Thanks for the heads up neorush. Oddly I came here checking for this error as I just got it myself on my own site!! :D

I replicated the error in one of my other sites, although I couldn't in my sandbox(?)

However, swapping back and forth between this change and the 7.0 version as above satisfies me that this error is fixed, so here's the patch, and I will roll it live if someone wants to test it and effectively RTBC.
