Tracking menu position rules

Somehow this got posted twice, please delete.

I would like to keep track of the rules that I define by [Menu Position](https://drupal.org/project/menu_position).
Where would I start if I wanted to try to add this functionality? As far as I see its only one db table called 'menu_position_rules' that needs to be tracked.
