Problem/Motivation

Commits addressing few issues have been merged since 2.1.0-alpha1. One of these was a bugfix that affects Configuration Synchronizer that would be good to have available in a release sooner rather than later (before 2.1.0 stable).

Tag a new 2.1.0 pre-release that includes the changes to the 2.1.x branch since 2.1.0-alpha1 that address the following issues:

- #3498527: Add configuration links to module info files.
- #3332144: README.md file missing
- #3566230: Fix remaining Drupal 9+ compatibility issues
