Hi everyone,
I've been struggling with an issue using drupal commons social network solution.
After modifying few parameters, behavior of the site,
I lost the option of adding the trusted contacts and therefore private messaging, (not visible for authentified users, unless you're an admin).
After investigating and comparing with the original code and parameters, I found out that I couldn't check, or modify some of the settings in organic group node - especially the group permissions - Contribute to the group.
Do you think those are connected? How do I solve my problems?

japerryFirst, can you verify the following for me?
* Private Messages & Invitations tab is visible on the users' profile
* og_access is enabled
* when on the homepage and creating content through the mini-block widget, you see an option to ' Post privately to all trusted contacts'
* Trusted contacts feature is enabled and not overridden.
From there I might be able to do a little more troubleshooting.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my issues.
Regarding your inquieries,
1. Private message tab is visible to all user when invitations are approved (the invitation tab used to be visible to all, but since a few days only visible to the admin profil).
2. Yes og_access is enabled.
3. Yes, the 'Post privately to all trusted contacts' is appliable.
4. After reviewing the features tab, 'Trusted contacts features', it is enable and overriden.
