Per screenshot, gray-lightgray-blue color palette still has a green attend button on the event node itself.

I would agree that theming the buttons based on the palette would be desirable. I have two different colored buttons for the anonymous landing page. That is fine with me however they differ greatly in style and it is a bit disorienting.
