incorrect filepath on uploaded files

This issue appears to be with Commons 1.4. It is occurring on a site built on the Aegir-Barracuda platform. I originally thought it was related to the migration of one of my sites from 1.3 to 1.4, but I am having the same issue on a brand new 1.4 site. Likewise, I still have 1.3 installed on the same platform and I do not see the issue when I install a new test site with that distribution.

To reproduce the error:
- set up a new site in a multisite scenario
- upload some filefield or imagefield files
- use the default multisite file system path, eg 'sites/domain.com/files'
- imagecache works fine, but the basic image does not. This is because the node outputs the path 'sites/domain.com/files/sites/domain.com/files/filefieldpath/image.png' in the IMG tag SRC.

This is because the database stores 'sites/domain.com/files/filefieldpath/image.png' and the prefix from the core files setting gets shoved in front.

Cache clearing did not work;

Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated.
