I've written the initial code to get PayGate working with Commerce. How do you want to go about getting the code into this module?
It can handle a test account, an actual account and saving PayGate response data into Transactions.
There is no IPN handling because I'm unsure if PayGate has that. There is also not an 'offline' payment option in the back-end.
The code will have to go through some more testing, but so far it appears to allow/deny checkout properly based on the response from PayGate.

lsolesen commentedYou could start by posting you code somewhere, so people could test it out.

malberts commentedI've upload the initial code here:
https://gitorious.org/commerce-paygate/commerce_paygate
Or should I make a Sandbox Project with the same title as this Project?
theamoeba commentedIm going to review the code in #2 and will create an initial dev release :).
malberts commentedCode is now available in a sandbox: http://drupal.org/sandbox/malberts/1772114

niki v commentedHi Morne
Has anyone been helping test your code? I have a site running D6, Ubercart and Paygate that I need to migrate to D7. I'm keen to use Drupal commerce this time around but I don't know enough to be able to help test this.
Would you recommend installing on a production site? I'm prepared to give it a try & can give feedback on performance, that's all.
malberts commentedNiki, there's been no public feedback on this module. However, the company I originally coded it for used it on 3 sites that have now been running for about 9 months. I haven't touched it since.
Looking at the code now I see it can be cleaned up a bit, but the main reason for not being an official module is because I am not the maintainer of the official module. Until theamoeba gets time to look at the code it's going to remain as a sandbox only.
Once you get the module you can use it like any other Commerce payment method.

niki v commentedThanks for the reply. I will give it a try and give you feedback shortly.
The only issue is for me is security of the code and what was a finish-before-D8-arrives is now a finish-this-month project so perhaps the interest will inspire theamoeba to look at the code ;)

niki v commentedHi Morne
Paygate's test gateway is working properly with your module. The site I want to use it on is up on the server but not yet live so I haven't tested it live yet but it all looks good to go.
The site that I need to use it on is built using Commerce modules but I also tested the module on another live site that I built previously using Commerce Kickstart and it's functioning properly there in test mode as well.
No problems encountered, this end-user is happy :) Please can we go to a dev release...

malberts commentedtheamoeba, could we have a look again at getting my earlier code into this module? It's been almost two years now and the sites I were involved in that used the code are still running fine. I made some really minor cleanup changes today.
I'd like to get this code out of sandbox as a few people have been interested in using it by now. A dev release would be fine. If you have some other direction/intention with this namespace, please let me know, otherwise I'm going to look at publishing it under a different namespace (commerce_paygate_payweb).
Thanks.

liliplanet commentedHi malberts, yes that would be wonderful if we could have an initial release please :)
niki v commentedYes please! It's been running fine on my production site for over a year. I applied the code cleanups recently and it's all still good.

niki v commentedJust downloaded the 7.x-1.0. module and unzipped it. There is a stray .un~ file in the module.
