We do not have the capacity to support folks on Lando. I don't think we need to remove the existing Lando configuration unless it becomes outdated, but we should rewrite the documentation to prioritize DDEV-Local at present.

Wow, this took some doing. Discovered through the process that we needed to update the Composer project template for Kickstart to define the vcs repository for commerce_demo so I could properly instruct users on how to add the demo to a new project. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I added a note on why that was required to README.md.
