I post question here, but am not sure it is the right place. No response down at drupal commerce site...
Looks like the community is split on this one... unfortunately. This being said! ;)

My problem...

We have installed Kickstart.

We're not able to add a search index for regular Nodes or other content types. Seems like "node" is not in the entity type drop down menu when creating a new index.

Our final goal is for a single search field to search within products, blogs, and basic pages.

What is the procedure?
thanks

No clue, but it's just Search API. I don't know why node general node indexing wouldn't be available.

thanks @rszrama. But not sure this is helpful.
Any guidance on making a single search field to search within products, blogs, and basic pages at the same time?
