Is it completely safe to upgrade to 7.9 with this installion profile without losing any of the work I have completed so far?

rszrama commentedYep, shouldn't bother you at all. Same for the new releases of Entity API and Rules, though I still need to do a little more testing. I'll update 'em all in one fell swoop here soon.

switch13 commentedWhat's the best way to do this and still have the "Store" show up in the admin bar?
rszrama commentedIt should always show up there. : )
No new permissions were introduced to govern that Store menu item, though it's possible Commerce 1.2 will have a new permission for it. I just released Commerce Kickstart 1.0-rc6 that includes the update to Drupal 7.9, Commerce 1.1, and the latest versions of all dependencies.
