Summary:
The Commerce Interledger module integrates Drupal Commerce with the Interledger Protocol, enabling payment processing through Open Payments-enabled financial institutions. This module leverages services provided by the core Interledger module to implement a complete payment solution.

Post-Installation
After installing the Commerce Interledger module:
- Navigate to Commerce → Configuration → Payment gateways
- Add a new payment gateway and select "Interledger" as the plugin
- Configure the gateway with your wallet address and other settings
- Assign the payment gateway to your store or specific payment methods
The module will now appear as a payment option during checkout. When customers select this payment method, they will be redirected to their Open Payments-enabled wallet for authorization before returning to complete their purchase.

- Drupal Commerce 2.x
- Interledger module
- PHP 8.3 or higher
- Access to a financial institution that supports the Open Payments API
Similar projects
While there are many payment gateway modules for Drupal Commerce (such as Commerce PayPal, Commerce Stripe, etc.), the Commerce Interledger module is unique in its support for the Open Payments protocol and the Interledger network. This enables features like instant settlement, cross-currency transactions, and Web Monetization that are not available in traditional payment gateways.
