Hello,

I am having difficultly overriding the email template files. I copied the template files in commerce_email/theme to my theme, made some changes and then cleared the cache. After submitting an order, the sent email is generated from the template files within commerce_email/theme. Is there something I am missing?

Hi PN,

Have you made sure to check the box, on the email settings page to use the templates instead of the textarea?

Yes, the check box is checked. I haven't tested on a clean install, so that will be my next step. Have you experienced this?

Edit: Scratch that, I have two languages enabled but only checked the template for one of them.

I had the same issue, and even putting the ES language file on commerce_email/theme didn't work.
As vladsocaciu, I had selected to use the template only on the ES language, but after enabling templates for both languages (EN and ES, which are all the availabe languages on my installation), the files on my Theme's template folder worked, even the ES file.
At least it's an easy workarround.
