I am using panels, but this module shows the CCK Display. When I use colorbox-load only, it shows panels.

Is it possible to render panels display using this module?

Sure the output function just needs to be a little more intelligent. I don't use panels so I would need a brief lesson on how and when a panel is outputted. I also have plans to output a user profile, webform with ajax support to reload inside the colorbox... etc.

The latest version of 2.x-dev has support to open ANY page within a modal box. Marking this as fixed unless you have issues with that version.
