drupalnesia commentedThere is a problem with CVS access of this module. Suddenly the "codaslider" disappear from Drupal CVS. I have contact the Drupal CVS Team but still no response since January 31, 2010.
I hove Drupal CVS Team will fix this issue so I can upload this module.

Attila commentedI've looked around a bit on the internet and I found the download-path for this slider. Theming a view, you could make that work I think.
Here's an article describing the slider: http://css-tricks.com/creating-a-slick-auto-playing-featured-content-sli...
And here's the download link: http://css-tricks.com/examples/FeaturedContentSlider.zip
Good luck!
webwatson commentedThe download link doesn't seem to point to an actual Drupal module. Do I have to make it from scratch?
Thank you.
kraymer commentedThis really sucks!
Either produce the module or take this page down, but don't keep dangling this squeef under our noses just for fun.
Figure your shit out and take care of business or hang-up thy Nike's and let us all move on!
Later,
~kraymer

design.er commented@kraymer: I'm also not happy to have to wait for a release of this nice module but as you know this is an open source project where all the people work voluntary in their free time to help people like you to do their work. The maintainer wrote in the first comment that there are problems with the CVS.
If you can't wait or need this module for a project, contact the maintainer for paid services or award a bounty in the forums/issue queues for help but please don't be aggressive or disrespectful. This is neither the way we act here nor efficient in any way.
Thank you!
Stefan

Attila commentedA module that is similair to this one is Views Slideshow, I'm using it for my own site too.

kraymer commented@design.er
Guy,
You make me wanna throw-up! Mind your own business and don't worry about what other people are doing. My complaint is not with that of the module developer. How could I possibly be mad at someone developing something I can't?
As for what the developer said, he/she hasn't heard back from Drupal for quite sometime and that is with whom I have my complaint with so you, Stefan, can go sit on your thumb! Keep your noes in your own business...Son!

design.er commented@kraymer: I apologize that I was wrong with the target person you had your compliance with... but even if "Drupal" (who exists of voluntary core developers) is the "person" you'd like to nail, please don't be disrespectful - even if you should be right with your criticism. And this IS the business of us all because if you yell around and make people (who are trying to work here) feel uncomfortable WE ALL have to live with the consequences... so please calm down and try to find a way to write in more polite way.
Thank you
Stefan
Comment #15
design.er commentedI will delete my comments regarding this side conversation because it has nothing to do with the module itself.
drupalnesia commentedI just try to do CVS-Checkout today but still error:
And still no help/response from Drupal CVS team, some one can contact directly to them?
avpadernoSee CVS reference guide for module maintainers; what you are doing is not the correct way to create the directory where to commit code in drupal.org CVS repository.
drupalnesia commentedI am using Tortoise CVS and when I check contributions/modules there is no codaslider. Another module that I have maintenanced like Counter Module listed in contributions/modules.
The codaslider folder should be listed in contributions/modules before I can checkout, right?
javad26 commentedComment #20
avpadernoNo. See comment #17, or http://drupal.org/handbook/cvs/quickstart.
pitxels commentedPretty Pleaseeee, upload the module!
even with an attachment here if necessary :)

pitxels commentedWow I didn't notice this CVS issue has more than 9 months now, I don't want to talk bad about anyone, but seriously 9 months just for the cvs upload? I know this is a contribution, I don't want to criticize the maintainer, (I also don't approve kraymer tone), I just don't understand how this Issue is unresolved.
I mean, if the code exists, a temporary link could be posted, a co-maintainer with CVS knowledge can be assigned, if the issue can not be solved, a new module can be created... I understand we all very busy, but the code already exist for what I understand.
I know this is a free contribution, and maybe I am wrong, but I think this contribution is abandoned at the entry level, for me is some kind of disrespectful to the community.
I tried contacting the maintainer but didn't receive any response.
I am just starting learning module development, but I will try to recreate this project from scratch and then post a link here.
drupalnesia commentedSorry, this is not CVS team issue. This problem come from Tortoise CVS UI while on other project I have no issue with CSV manually (I mean using command line), I see command line produced by Tortoise different than manuall command line, so I need to type the command manually as describedd on comment #20.
Look at comment #12 and please use http://drupal.org/project/views_slideshow instead. I have try Views Slideshow and this module produce exactly feature of Coda Slider. See my client site here: www.rimanews.com for sample.
