The Drupal 7 version of this module appears to have been removed from the project page, so /admin/reports/updates shows:

Project not supported: This project is no longer supported, and is no longer available for download. Disabling everything included by this project is strongly recommended!

In red, of course.

Was this intentional? And either way, can it be restored at least until Drupal 7 reaches end-of-life in November?

It was done with Drupal 10 alpha version getting released this week. Also, none of the maintainers are getting the time to address any of the D7 related issues so it didn't make sense to keep it as supported.

Also, I recently learnt a project could be marked as not supported but still have security support (check for COG theme).

I'm OK to keep it there till November but I'm really not sure if any of the maintainers will get the time to review / update any of the issues.

That's fine. I don't think anybody expects you to devote much effort to D7 at this point. I just don't want clients to see a nasty scold.
