All pop-ups do not work in i.e. 8—so the following doesn't work: paste as plain, add/ upload image, hyperlinks etc... anything that's supposed to pop-up on the ui toolbar doesn't pop-up... I just get an hour glass and nothing happens. I thought it might be the pop-up settings on i.e. itself, but I turned off the pop-up blocker and it didn't fix.

Of course, everything works fine in ff, but our clients do not use.

Also I noticed that I have another website in development where it works in i.e. 8, I don't understand, the ckeditor versions are the same... one works in i.e. and the other doesn't.

Could this be a module conflict?

which version of CKEditor do u use??

I try with CKEditor 3.4 and everything work fine on IE8.

Still didn't work... I literally have another website that I built and it works fine in i.e. 8, on the same computer, so it can't be my browser settings or the computer itself.

• Is there something that could be conflicting with the ckeditor, a certain module?

• Is there a setting that could cause something like this?

• When you click on the hyperlink or image button... I get a hourglass and nothing happens. No pop-up screen.

• Is there anymore info I can give to help?

I got it to work...

I had to do a complete uninstall first, then reinstall. Unfortunately I lost all my settings, but it worked!!

If anyone has any ideas of what the problem could have been, I still would like to know.

In summary, when I just disabled the module, and deleted it via FTP, then downloaded the most update module, and uploaded via FTP—it did NOT work

I had to completely uninstall first, then it worked... weird.

2 days ago was new release of CKEditor (http://download.cksource.com/CKEditor/CKEditor/CKEditor%203.4.1/ckeditor...). Try to update to new version, and maybe this help.

I did that and still nothing.

I have 4 websites that use CKeditor...

• All four work great in Firefox, Safari, Chrome

• Only two operate correctly in i.e.

• All four have the same Drupal version 6.x-1.1

• All four use CKeditor version 3.4.1, but somehow only two of them work properly in i.e.

I have uninstalled, reinstalled, ran update.php, emptied the cache, and to no avail--I'm at a loss.

I also try to install drupal again, reinstall plugins, update plugins and everything work for me... I can't reproduce this so it's hard to say and fix something.

I am having the same problem with I updated to the latest modules (Drupal 6.25 and CkEditor 6x.1.0) and it didn't solve the problem. When I try to add an image, link, or anything that would have a pop up window, my screen gets the overlay but no window. I see "Error on page" in the status bar of IE. I have many other sites where CKEditor runs perfectly fine in IE.

Any help would be great, thank you.

The solution to this issue can be found here, http://drupal.org/node/726612.

The problem is that IE can only load a max of 32 CSS files. When choosing optimise CSS files (admin/settings/performance) this number gets reduced, and the popup overlay works again.
