Toolbar Dropdown Background

How can I control the background on the toolbar drop-down menu for format, font face, and font size? I am using the Marinelli theme, so the background and font that it defaults to makes it impossible to read. I used the settings in the config file to make the main editor window use the correct styles, but it doesn't affect the drop-down menus.
