Editor appears but can't edit or add text if edit page loads with collapsed fields

Hi was just wondering where to start looking for bug testing this.
I have a book page with about 6 or 7 text fields.
This is because I have a range of clients that will be reading the page and I want the information to be dynamic for each.

I have them collapsed when the edit page loads to make the whole thing look a little bit more user friendly and to speed up page load.
The problem is that since I have moved from FCK to Ck I now find that you can't click on the text areas to edit them after un-collapsing the field.
Clicking on the text area gets no response and typing also does nothing.
The only way to get the field working for filtered input is to click on the source button in the top left corner of the editor twice. Looking at the field in source mode, be it an empty field or not, seems to make it active so when I return to filtered it works.
I can then edit and save and it all works.
It does not seem to be a problem if I make all the fields open by default for the content type.

As far as testing goes I have not been able to have the same issue in chrome or internet explorer, they work fine.
