If you add a paragraph at the end of your post, for spacing purposes, CKEditor removes it.

Let's say you add 5 blank paragraphs (<p>&nbsp;</p>) at the end of your post, then CKEditor removes the very last paragraph every time you edit it, or switch between "Source" and "Wysiwig" mode. So, if you start out with 5 blank paragraphs, and you edit your post 5 times, you end up with no paragraphs. No one would want 5 blank paragraphs at the end of their post, but I just did it for testing purposes. However, one can make a strong case for why a user would want one blank paragraph at the end of their posts.

Can we please fix this unwanted behavior by CKEditor?

Thanks.

P.S. It seems that paragraphs have always been a thorn in the flesh when it comes to CKEditor, or FCKEditor. I wish there was a way to turn automated paragraph behavior off completely. It has a nasty habit of only messing up one's text.

You can set into custom configuration on profile page or in ckeditor.config.js:

config.ignoreEmptyParagraph = false;
