There's a glimmer of hope on the latest nightly build with Safari, but it's still very hit and miss, and the cells kind of freak out when you try editing them with random ones being added. On Firefox it still doesn't work at all, and Chrome is actually the best, with it kind of working with a lot of double clicking and control clicking that eventually gets the job done. But it is at least semi-functional in at least one browser, so if you needed the functionality you could get it done. Not an ideal situation, but it's getting there. So keep going whatever it is you're doing. Just thought I'd give an update on the latest update.

@anyone interested - the problem was originally reported by CinemaSaville in #659278: Teaser button/text is missing and #659754: Buttons not working, and unable to alter table field with editor:

I'm trying to use the contextual menu while editing a table. (i.e. alter the number of rows, or add a row or delete a column etc.) I'm using Safari 4.0.3, FF 3.5.3 and Chrome Beta on a Mac. Go to the http://drupal.ckeditor.com/ and insert a table in a comment. Now try to use a contextual menu by ctrl clicking (on a mac) or right clicking on a PC, and you'll see it doesn't work.

We couldn't reproduce it on Snow Leopard, so if anyone is able to confim this, we'd really appreciate it. It seems it was working in 3.0.1 so if anyone is able to find when exactly it was broken by using this site: http://rev.ckeditor.com, then please let us know.

wwalc, I found where it stopped working on the Mac. 4760 from 12/18 works perfectly for creating tables. (Which apparently you authored.) But then 4774 is where it stops working. (Which was not your work, but FredCK's). Anyway, you can check it for yourself, or I can create a screencast for you that you can see.) Hope that helps you guys. It's definitely a bug. Not sure why you can't reproduce this, but I'm sure it's not anything to do with my particular setup, as I'm using your releases, and site, as well as the same Safari and FF browser everyone else would be using. So you should be able to do something with that.

Downloaded the 3.1 full release, and I have to say that tables editing on the Mac is a full mess. Hopefully I'm the odd person here, but going to http://drupal.ckeditor.com/ with Safari is a joke. I love this editor, but after the 4760 build you guys really dropped the ball on this. I can produce a video screencast to show you the funky things it does if you cannot reproduce this yourself, but it's hard to believe that this is an isolated incident.

We haven't updated the drupal.ckeditor.com web site yet (to be done today). I'll let you know when the site will be ready for testing.
If you confirm that the problem exists in 3.1 @ drupal.ckeditor.com, then it will be not a problem anyway. A new minor release of CKEditor is coming approximately every 1.5 month and if we really have a regression there, it will be fixed in the next minor release and probably much sooner in the nightly build.
The 3.1 version was already late, we couldn't wait longer with releasing it.

I would say so. So now you see what I've been dealing with. Hope the information on when it stopped working will help you getting it going. By the way, the new dev release on 1/06 works fine.
