This is what I see around that line number:

I also tried downloading the 5.x-1.0 release, and it has no syntax error for me. Are you running PHP 4? I don't typically test with PHP 4.

Please check your download for corruption, too.

Yes, I am running php 4.4.4. I downloaded and reinstalled the 5.x.1.0 several time with the same error. the code line(s) are the same. Maybe it does not play well with php 4.x ?

PHP 4 is not supported by CiviCluster.
