Make restaurant dependency optional? I am getting this error without restaurant distro:
PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function restaurant_base_get_settings() in sites/all/themes/chef/template.php on line 17

Perhaps you could make those footer links as blocks in the distro instead of preprocess them in the theme.
