Hi,
Did all what it says in readme.txt

I have set directory in settings to - modules/chatroom

I did copy chatroomread.php to main directory next to index.php

Chat is working but not autoupdate. I need to refresh or write something to get chat updated...

There is also page error message in site reports

chatroom/chat/get/latest/messages
Location http://mywebsite.com/chatroomread.php
Referrer http://mywebsite.com/chat

can you repost the error message, maybe as a screenshot to stop the formatting from being eaten?

also, did you install the chatroom module in the 'modules' directory? its generally not a good idea to do that, better to use a folder under 'sites/all/modules' or 'sites/$SITE_NAME/modules'.
