having two problems with category module

this must be some simple thing but I cannot figure it out. here is my site at www.testsite.insytz.org When you click "recipes" link at the top right then click "fish" category link. The recpices for fish are there on that page and I only want links to those recipes to show on that page not the entire recipes themselves. I cannot figure out how to do this . also, I can make forums but cannot post topics. when i post a topic it doesnt go in the forum it goes into content. I am using the category module. If anyone can help I would really appreciate it.
