I just installed Cassandra and an error occured at line 4 -> 9 in cassandra.module
Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/usr/share/php/Thrift/packages/cassandra/Cassandra.php'
The reason is: "Thrfit lib path" is not yet setup and "/usr/share/php/Thrift" (default value of variable "cassandra_thrift_path") doesn't not exist in my computer

thmnhat commentedThanks for your reply leilyrken, but that's not my problem. The problem is this module crashes my site.
Let me make it clear:
1. Download module and extract to .../sites/all/modules
2. Go to Administer › Site building › Modules.
3. Enable Cassandra.
4. ERROR occured. The reason is: "Thrfit lib path" is not yet setup and "/usr/share/php/Thrift" (default value of variable "cassandra_thrift_path") doesn't not exist in my computer.
I am using XAMPP and install Thrift in .../sites/all/lib/thrift
I found a dirty way to enable module without error:
1. Comment all require_once lines, cassandra_init() and cassandra_exit()
2. Uninstall module
3. Enable module
4. Go to Administer › Site configuration › Cassandra configurations
5. Setup the path
6. Uncomment code.

Ravi.J commentedSolution for the above error is to make path to Cassandra and Thrift interfaces configurable through a configuration screen.
I am doing few spikes around cassandra for various projects, will provide a patch to this problem soon.
