As I used Case Tracker, it occured to me we also need to allow the changing of the case's Title when posting a comment to the case.

The Title can be changed by the case creator on the [Edit] tab. but we need to allow it to be changed by any user just like any of the other fields. See how project.module does this.

The Title field should come after the Project field. It should show the field change in the comments just like when changing the other fields.

Is it possible to control by access role which fields are presented for comments? This would be helpful if you wanted user role A to be able to change the title of a case for instance, but you didn't want user role B to have that ability, but you wanted both roles to be able to comment.

Maybe this isn't the right place to ask such a question, but Dave's request prompted the question in my mind. It seems like this would probably be something a user would have to do by hacking the module, rather than it being a feature of the module.

Now user has been provided Ability to change case title when commenting.

In regards to Roger's question, please open up a separate Feature Request for this. I'd like to allow for custom user-defined fields, but it's likely something that we'll evaluate in the context of CCK when that arrives. Not something we'll deal with too soon.

I am currently using 6.x-1.0-beta9, and could not figure out how to change the case title by comment.

Is this feature available for the version I am using?

Thanks.
