I disabled the module (with authcache), but when I remove this code from settings.php:

I see white screen of the death on any page...

Can it be related to eAccelerator?

Similar here. Turn off in sites/all/modules but still being called; removing module directory means site FAILs to load (cacherouter... not found).

Check your settings.php. There may be other issues, but I think that was the root of client problems. Closing.
