Hi all,

Just recently traced a spring of pop-ups stemmed from Bowob Chat. The pop-ups had infected a number of our computers with malware. The pop-ups would appear after two conditions:

1) Signing into the Drupal website that contains the Bowob Chat module.
2) Then selecting a hyper-link.

The pop-ups take you to this link, c1.pop-ads.net, and redirects you to miscellaneous websites.

Please avoid this module.

Hi,

If you do not wish to see ads, you can upgrade to our premium service. Sorry this wasn't answered sooner. We are now back and actively maintaining and adding new features.

This is not adware, but ads being show to the free users of the plugin. This happens if you are using the free version of the plugin.
