I am running Drupal 7.23 with PHP 5.3 + FastCGI. There are no error message in the log. I am running Mollom, but disabled it for password password request form and the user registration form. Looking to replace Mollom, but need to test BOTCHA first. I did clear the cache, which really does nothing for system admin. The Apache server is running mod_security, but I already made the .htaccess changes. Do I need to install the dev version of mooapi?

I installed BOTCHA again, but this time I used drush. This time, BOTCHA does appear in the configuration menu. The only two changes I made between the graphical install and the drush install was disabling Page Manager and disabling a tag's view. BOTCHA is now running, and did catch one spam bot.

Glad you resolved your issue.
There is a problem in Drupal with dependencies like moopapi not being installed BEFORE the module that requires them. I am not sure if you followed the installation instructions and enabled dependencies before enabling Botcha, which may explain your initial problem.

I installed moopapi first. While leaving moopapi enabled, I disabled and then uninstalled botcha. I installed it again, and it still didn't work. I disabled and uninstalled it again. I was having a conflict between Page Manager and Display Suite, so I uninstalled page manager. The shared server was getting slammed by attacks, so I switched to using drush. It installed botcha correctly.

As much as I would like to do detailed diagnostics on this kind of problem, I just don't have the time. Writing about Android security keeps me busy. Then there is the challenge of keeping my Linux kernel course current. If get time, I am going to turn on SELinux for my tablet, and write the profiles. All the pieces are part of Android, they just need the configuration files.

BOTCHA is a great product. Keep up the good work.
