Database crashes after some time / preiodic boost reset

After 1-2 months, the site becomes irresponsive, Mysql keeps crashing, server load goes up. I resolve that by pressing "Clear Boost's Database & File Cache" button. (boost_cache table became huge)

How could I automate this action - i.e. a cron task running every month that would do the job.
