Anonymous (not verified) commented#1785292: Cron Crawler Not Running
The link above should help you out it's a frequent misunderstanding as to what the crawler does, it only generates modified pages and uses anon users to generate the cache normally (and there's lots of good reasons why going back in history to jammed up cron jobs, 30,000 page sites generated but pages only visited once a year etc....)

mmtt commentedHm, is there maybe a soution to call urls without wget, cron etc. only to get some sites boost cache updated?

Anonymous (not verified) commentedThere's various links on the previous page to code that people have used, you could use php and fopen and go through the site map for example. Generally if your cache settings are long enough then it builds the most relevant to the public pages within a day or so, and they can be set very long since the crawler will take care of any updates/ insertions.
