Hi
I have a vps ubuntu 11.10 server set up with 1 IP which is shared amongst 4 sites all drupal 7.12.
2 are subdomians
Note these are 4 separate sites and it is not a multisite setup.
ie
example.com
example.co.uk
sub1.example.co.uk
sub2.example.co.uk

Is there any special configuration gotcha's to set this up? I am hoping that as the "new rewrite rules are added to the .htaccess file supplied with Drupal" and " the cached files are stored (by default) in the cache/normal/ directory under your Drupal installation directory" this is automatically taken care of?

Also can anyone confirm they have found the current release to be stable for D7?

Thanks

What's the problem exactly?

If you have separate sites, then I assume that you have 4 vhosts each pointing in a different DocumentRoot? e.g.

* example.org => /srv/www/vhost/example.org/
* example.net => /srv/www/vhost/example.net/, etc.

Keep in mind:

* you need to change your .htaccess to insert the rewrite rules
* whether multisite or not, the cache folder will be per-domain, so there should not be any problems.

I use boost 7.x-1.x in production. You might have some rough edges on forms for anonymous users, or i18n (although that seems to be fixed now). Check out the issue queue for open issues and help out test patches (issues in "needs review" state).

(feel free to re-open the issue if this does not answer your question)

Thanks
I was just checking that I was not about to throw myself into the deep end before installing.

Yes, for each site I copied the sites-available file and edited to create a separate virtual sever with separate doc root.

Ill give it a shot and report back.

ps great work guys!!!!

OK...so far so good!!

I chose all default options.

Pages working and registration form is fine.

I could not find D7 install txt so followed the D6 one
re
"Prepare robots.txt file for search engines.
Add "Disallow: /boost_stats.php" to the robots.txt file as shown below."

I added this but could not see the boost_stats.php file in my drupal root.
I put it in on the grounds it wont cause any harm and maybe that feature will arrive in a later release or will that file never exist?

Anyway the files are being created :o)
I will mess around with cron over the weekend to test the cache cleaning.

A reminder to anyone interested there is no gzip compression option at the moment.

Yep, the boost_stats.php will probably never exist in boost 7.x-1.x.

Want to contribute to the boost D7 handbook?

I'm more than halfway through the readme :o)

I will chip away at the rest in the next couple of days.
