Is there any way to override the core block configuration ...

We restrict individual blocks to certain nodes using php or * in 'Show block on specific pages:' .
Block reference seems to follow these visibility options too.Is there a way to override this?

sorry.I just read the release notes now.It clearly states it will be poissible to override with the new version of Block reference released.Will check out the new version ,6.x-1.9 and come back here.
