Nice to see this one coming across to D6... But.
1. I enabled BlockBar Containers in my theme's .info file.
2. Placed the BlockBar container into Left Sidebar
3. Places menu blocks into BlockBar region.
Neither the BlockBar nor the menus display.

If, instead, I place the menus into the Left Sidebar region, they display both in the Left Sidebar and in the BlockBar. So there's something fishy about where BlockBar is reading its content from. This is true for both the Garland and Ubiquity themes I tried this with.

All working beautifully in D5...

My mistake. Hadn't configured the BlockBar to look for content in the custom regions I'd created in the main ubiquity.info (as these regions hadn't been created in garland.info). Switched administration theme to Ubiquity and now it works perfectly. Sorry!
