did a quick fix here with css_injector just moved the links 30px up:

div.views-admin-links, div.block-edit-link, div.node-edit-link {
margin-top:-45px !important;
}

noticed a minor css issue then: (which may be a separate issue)
couldn't get rid of a single link (which may be a separate feature request) per css

<div class="block-edit-link">
  <ul class="links">
    <li class="1">

afaik, css classes must not be numbers so my selector

div.block-edit-link li.0

couldn't work

Worked for me. Would be nice to have some configuration options, eg.

  • Font size
  • Left/right top/bottom margin adjustment
  • Background colour
  • Abbreviated links, eg. [Edit][Links][Menu]

Would make sense to just prefix the list item classes with some alpha characters, like 'item-'.

<li class="0">

to

<li class="item-0">

@axel.rutz righto. I've created a new issue #994006 with a patch that implements @vinmassaro's idea.

Version: 6.x-1.10 » 6.x-1.x-dev
Status: Active » Closed (works as designed)

All of these things are possible via CSS. Also, see #994006: Links passed to theme_links are not keyed resulting in invalid class names in the markup where the classes were added.
