zip archive error

Zip file is empty and I have the following in the logs:

Notice: ZipArchive::addFile(): Empty string as filename in bdlf_field_file_download_package() (line 108 of /var/www/html/sites/all/modules/bdlf/bdlf.module).

the PHP zip extension is installed. Any help appreciated.
