Is it possible to install Barcodes without Composer on D7?
I'm using a shared host with no root access.

No need to be root to install a library with composer, see: https://getcomposer.org/doc/00-intro.md#locally
Also, you would probably be better off anyway, building the setup on your computer and copying the resulting files to your host

After many struggles, I successfully installed Composer and Barcodes module and made them work on a local machine.
I can't use Barcodes in my workflow because it creates SVGs instead of images. I don't know how to put them on my pdfs created through VBO+Rules+Views_pdf modules.
Sorry if I wasted your time, but I think you should add somewhere in the description of the module that it outputs barcodes as SVG.
