cvs version works with 4.7 with only minor issues.

Why not collect a bounty and ask a developer to give them a fix? I would be personally available for donating $ for this...

me too - I just found out it doesn't work on my new 4.7 site and it is a big problem

and where can I get the cvs version to see if it works for me?

Could you please describe what doesn't work on your 4.7 install? A description of the problem will make it easier to get to work on a solution.

i install it, enable the module, then try to go to admin/banner and I get this:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: tablesort_pager() in /home/httpd/vhosts/dowsett.ca/subdomains/gravsports/httpdocs/sites/default/modules/banner.module on line 1017

and can't go any further

I may try deleting it and trying th cvs version but I'd think it'd be better to get the proper verion working...no?!

Banner.module has been branched for 4.7. It will be available on the download page next time the packaging script is run.
