Update the module avator block to 6.x

hi,
i really like this module but unfortunately my drupal knowledge is not a lot when it comes to development of modules.

would anybody be interested in either creating a similar module for drupal 6.x or upgrading the avatar_block to 6.x ?

any help here will be greatly appreciated. thanx
