Given "This module is currently being ported to Drupal 8, but is not usable yet":

Does anybody consider to merge this project with auto_entitylabel as (not been ported to Drupal 8)?

As a sitebuilder I see the 2 projects are with very similar approach and would appreciate united skills and less fragmentation.
