liquidcms commentedYup, a handbook page on this is likely a great idea. Perhaps you could help out and write one - or i could get around to it; but i am a very busy boy.
Basic use is pretty straight forward:
- install module
- enable any or all API modules that you want to use
- set up accounts with your API(s) of choice (i.e. get a Google API key or Yahoo api key or account at iThenitcate)
- add your API info to admin settings page
- also on admin settings page define general settnigs such as how you want doc split up and comparison rating threshhold (Google/Yahoo only)
- set which node types you want to provide Authentication services for
- set which roles should be able to perform authentication of those node types
- now when you are on a node view for that type you should get a tab title Authenticate with subtabs for the enabled API's
- when you pick a API subtab it will ask if you want to submit for authentication
- once submitted it will refresh page with stats or results once finished.
That's about it.

kvmnext commentedHi guys,
this really seems to me like an amazing module, but i am still unaware of how to use it. being an amateur in dev and new to drupal i am clueless. i would be really really happy if one of you could do a detailed 'how to'. this is an important part of my web site dev as it involves a lot of user generated content.
thanks in advance :)

liquidcms commentedwhat are you missing? I just posted a pretty good explanation of what is required. Just stating "how to" doesn't help me help you much.

kvmnext commentedCould you explain how to install and use PEAR class Text_Diff please.
liquidcms commentedsorry.. NOPE.. pretty far out of context - try googling PEAR.

deltab commentedHi, I don't get the Api Key part. Where do I put the key? I am facing the situation reported in http://drupal.org/node/790896#8
and wondering if it has something to do with Api Keys
Comment #8
liquidcms commentedadmin/settings/authenticate
if there are no sections there for various keys; then (as per instructions) try enabling one of the API modules (like google or yahoo).
