Opt into Drupal’s security advisory policy.

I agree, it's an incredible tool! So +1 for this, it would be very nice to have the module covered by the security advisory policy.

As a bonus, it would probably help speed up adoption.

Yes, this is definitely something I want for the module. I agree it would help adoption too.

The blocker is on my side of the permission system: I cannot opt a project in until my user account gets the "opt projects into security advisory coverage" permission. I applied for it through the project applications queue over a month ago, using a much smaller module as the application vehicle so it is quick and easy to review. Since it depends on community reviewers, I have no control over the timing.

As soon as that goes through I will enable coverage for this module. Leaving the issue open until then.

That sounds fantastic @trebormc, I hope you get the permission soon. I never visited the Drupal.org security advisory coverage applications issue queue before, but I am very impressed by the thoroughness of the reviewers, confirming to me that Drupal indeed has very high code standards.
