Add audio to comments

Did you ever figure out how to do this?

I'm intereseted attching audio and video comments.

it'd take some serious re-working to get audio attached to comments.

I think you could use hook_form_alter on the comment_form to add an audio upload form and override theme_comment to display the audio node output on each comment. Additionally, you'd need to store a relationship between the comment id and the audio node that is created. This would be a very simple module to build. See how audio_attach works, it would be *very* similar except instead of attaching to a node it attaches to a comment.

Actually, the playlist API would be an ideal framework to build this off of. Also audio_attach should probably use this too. The table structures are all exactly the same. If I ever find some time, I'm interested in merging a lot of these ideas together and simplifying code.

i don't think this is going to happen. someone can re-open this if they'd like to take it on though.
