In addition to the iTunes feed problems I mentioned (in another support issue) when using AAC files, there is also a problem when uploading an AAC file in Safari using the audio module. It will upload correctly and you can download it, but when you click on the "Click to Play" link in any browser it just downloads an unusable file (with the title of it being the nid for the node). This only occurs when you upload the file using Safari. If you upload using Camino for example it will upload fine and when you click the "Click to Play" link (again regardless of what browser you are viewing it with) when viewing the audio node then another window will launch and the file will play using a quicktime plugin in the browser.

Basically, the problem occurs when you use Safari to upload the AAC file in the audio module. Safari doesn't exhibit the same issues in uploading in other modules.

off the top of my head it sounds like safari isn't providing the correct mime type to the web server. maybe you could check it from a different machine? i'm curious if, perhaps, a program/plug-in has inserted an incorrect mime type.

this is not native to safari, but may be native to the mac and aac files in general.

I'm running 10.4.6 and have the same problem regardless of browser used, safari, firefox, camino.

however, converting the file to mp3 and then uploading, it works fine from all, including safari.
