Hello there,

I need to know if a certain audio file has been played and, if possible, count the number of times that that happened. Is there any way of doing that?

CVS/HEAD (which is the version you selected in the issue) already does this. The code was never completed for 4.6. A back port would be possible.

For some reason, I haven't really noticed that HEAD already did count the number of times a file was being played.

I guess I'll convert my stuff to 4.7 ASAP, the difference between the 2 versions is getting too big and would take too much time to make to bring 4.6 to provide the same functionality.

Yeah, my attitude toward the 4.6 branch is that I'll try to fix bugs but I'm not going to be backporting features. If someone goes to the trouble I'll commit them though.
