Metadata fields are only visible AFTER trying to submit audio. As I would like the fields to be required on the form, I had checked author and title as "required" under "metadata tags" in "audio settings". But as the fields are invisible and therefore not filled in when submitting the form, an error appears in red. The user is then required to fill in these fields and try once again to submit it. Once this happens it works ok. But it is a 2 step process which generates an offputting error each time before if finally works.

eggthing commentedI should mention that most of the mp3s on the site will not have metatag data embedded in the mp3 beforehand as they are mostly home produced poetry tracks..

drewish commentedyou can upload the file by clicking preview and then edit the metadata. this is to prevent you from entering data that would be overwritten when the file's fields are loaded.

sylvie_n commentedFor my site, it is critical that the metatags show on the initial form, and not after trying to submit.
Is there any way that the audio metatags can show BEFORE clicking submit?
thanks
