inhibit some recordings from showing in the audio browser

I'd like to upload a recording and make an audio node out of it, but inhibit it from showing in the audio browser.

Or maybe someone can tell me how to accomplish this with the existing functionality. The problem is that I am uploading a lot of original material that I'm trying to make publicly available through the site, the audio browser, and through category-based podcasts.

However I also have some recordings of me doing covers that I also want to upload. I don't want to publicize them on the front page or through the audio browser because it's technically illegal, but I'd like to make unpublicized node addresses and an unpublicized podcast of the covers category just for people like my parents.

I can pretty much do all of that, it appears, except that any upload will automatically show up in the audio browser, and I don't want to turn that off. Plus I don't want the covers nodes to be "unpublished" or permissioned up in a way that the podcast feed won't be automatically generated.

This could also be solved by allowing multiple content types of type "audio" (so they'd even have separate audio browsers).
