Currently the async_command external scripts works in the session-less mode: you issue one command, the command gets executed, and exits. This should probably supports session: you execute one command, and execute another command in the same session (share variables).

Also, it might support multiple sessions in that each session will have its own variable space.

This feature request is postponed. This module is designed to do batch work: you submit all commands at once. Support sessions might complicate things too much.
