http://drupal.org/project/imageinfo_cache is a good model, use that as the base

Thanks for the note mikeytown2. I read the code of imageinfo_cache. Looks like async_command.module has different goals from imageinfo_cache.module. async_command. module would add commands into a queue so that outside scripts/programs can execute them on other computers. This module will also provide a Java class to help outside scripts/programs access data in Drupal.
