Hi abraham,

Thanks for contributing this module. I was wondering if you think it might be possible to integrate Twitter @Anywhere with the Twitter module (project/twitter) already on Drupal.org? Or is this module quite different in how it goes about providing Drupal integration with Twitter?

Best,
Thomas

There is very little room for technical integration. @Anywhere uses the OAuth 2 draft spec with short lived credentials as apposed to OAuth 1's long lived credentials. @Anywhere is pretty much just a bunch of JavaScript widgets that if combined with the Twitter module would be very heavy if the REST API is not being used.

Hello,

I have a few qeustions - can Twitter @Anywhere be used to display a user's tweets in a view? Or would this functionality still be in the Twitter Module? Therefore, for full twitter integration we would need both of these modules?

Thanks!

@Anywhere currently does not provide any way to pull statuses from Twitter. Future versions of @Anywhere will support this but it will all be JavaScript so probably won't integrate with views.

cool. views support is not only unnecessary but probably doesn't fit the context of this module at all now that I understand it. will the javascript support be something along the lines of the Twitter profile widget?

The profile widget could be recreated using the next version of the @Anywhere. Essentially it will be a JavaScript library that supports all API methods for easy client side web application integration.

You can checkout the preview of the upcoming API here: http://platform.twitter.com/js-api.html
